Ow!Ow!Ow!Ow!

I got surgered and after having to practically be bodily threatened by the doctor to lie down, take it easy, not move my body if I could avoid it and to STOP TRYING TO LIFT STUFF, I finally was able to go back to work - on December 21, and 22. I then took the remaining week and the following one for Christmas and New Years.

So, Happy New Year (Western) everyone.

Let's see, updates:

- New Year's Eve was brought in with friends and a gathering at my place. We had a blast, even more so when we heard what sounded like someone shelling the house. Went outside to find that several of the neighbors were firing off some GORGEOUS fireworks. Our own personal firework display. What a way to bring in the year.

- Now that I'm allowed to lift stuff, I'm organizing my new sewing room. Man. I have a metric ton of fabric. You don't realize how much stuff you have until it starts coming out of boxes.

- I'm growing gardens now, as well. I get hay tomorrow for bale gardening, and will be growing a lot more of my own food. Stephen likes the idea, now that I've proven that I won't make him weed it (there are no weeds).

- One of the things I purchased for myself is a Canon Rebel camera, 12.2 MP, with an entire package of lenses and stuff, to replace the one that was stolen. At the NYE thing, one of my guests showed me how to use it, and man is it SHARP. I can't wait to start taking pictures.

- During my 'enforced stillness', I made a TON of new sticks and necklaces (about the only thing I could do other than watch tele), so there will be postings soon. I promise.
